History Of Stamps...
- Before the use of adhesive paper stamps, letters were hand stamped or postmarked with ink. Postmarks were the invention of Henry Bishop and were at first called 'Bishop mark' after the inventor. Bishop marks were first used in 1661 at the London General Post Office. They marked the day and month the letter was mailed.
- Rowland Hill invented the adhesive postage stamp in 1837 first started to take a serious interest in postal reforms in 1835.

Week 1 - The Brief
i have just recived the brief of the 3d stamps, i think the topic biodiversity...is different and will make a change instead of evryday stamps. i think that it is a good idea to get awarness as people could send letters to each other around the world and this will able them to pass the message on...The importance of the subject is inspiring me to create something that will inspire other people to think more about biodiversity.
